Review of Mazda 6 of 2014 - nice super car! 2014 Mazda looks beautiful, but there's a reason the midsize car segment is also called the family car segment: the target buyers are families, ie people who aren't especially style-conscious. Auto writers always lambaste most designs, like the Camry's, wondering why people like vanilla. Angus Mackenzie actually tries to give a reason why Camry does so well, referring to Toyota's 'marketing muscle', but actually Toyota's marketing is just as sedate and vanilla compared to, say, Ford's or Nissan's. Just like the sedan itself. Has Angus forgotten that his own Motor Trend ranked the Camry #1 among all midsize sedans just two years ago, in 210? MT cited its great handling, power and build quality. Those are solid reasons why Camry consistently outsells more "exciting" cars like Mazda, Nissan, Honda and Ford--despite all of these employing much more memorable advertising.
